Intro to Mime Workshop

An introduction to the elements of mime and non-verbal storytelling.

This workshop caters specifically to deaf people and to hearing people who already know Auslan well, such as those with deaf family members, interpreters etc.

The aim of the workshop is to introduce essential principles of mime and creating invisible worlds. The art of mime empowers performers and storytellers to create dramatic, comic and compelling non verbal theatre.

YouR tutor: James Kerwin

James performed mime in his early life and appeared on Young Talent Time (Network 10) as a contestant. James has worked as an actor with the Australian Theatre of the Deaf in Sydney and Mercury’s Wings Theatre Company on the Gold Coast.
